My name is Felipe Cuartas, a Visual Artist from Bogotá, Colombia, currently based in Weimar, Germany. Over the last years, I have been immersed in the world of cinematography, working on various audiovisual projects, including documentaries, music videos, short films, and feature films.
My strength as a Director of Photography lies in actively participating in the creation of a visual language that meets the narrative and expressive needs of the story. Thanks to my interdisciplinary education in areas such as graphic design, art history, and literature, I have the ability to establish connections between different fields and develop original and powerful visual concepts.

I am interested in writing, particularly in exploring the relationship between human beings and nature, as well as in creating visual metaphors that enrich the narrative and emotional depth of my work, while using horror as a narrative resource to evoke emotional intensity and explore complex human experiences.

Alongside cinematography, I also have a strong interest in writing and storytelling. I am particularly drawn to themes such as the relationship between humans and nature, dysfunctional family dynamics, and the use of horror as a narrative device to explore emotional and psychological tensions.
Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree in Media Art at the Bauhaus University. Through this experience, I continue to explore new forms of storytelling and collaborate with local and international artists from various disciplines.
